‘On the Road’ Gets A Release Date in Brazil

Synopsis: ‘On the Road’, published in 1957, was a landmark of the Beat movement. The book is narrated by Kerouac’s alter-ego, Sal Paradise, whose impulse was to hit the road and see America. In this journey, he takes a ride, climb on trains, meets other travelers struggle for food and explores themes of freedom and nostalgia.

Trivia: ‘On the Road ‘(On the Road) is adapting the book by Jack Kerouac, directed by Walter Salles and screenwriter Jose Rivera (the same pair of Motorcycle Diaries). “Budgeted at $ 25 million, the film is a French production company MK2, in collaboration with Film 4 (UK) and Videofilmes in Brazil.
