Kristen Stewart has dismissed rumours that there is tension between herself and her Twilight co-star following their split.
Speaking at the premiere of her new film On the Road at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Stewart said that the pair are “totally fine” with the situation.
“We’re going to be fine,” she said when asked about their upcoming press tour to promoteTwilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. “We’re totally fine.”
Pattinson and Stewart are understood to have separated after details of the actress’s affair withSnow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders emerged in July.
Stewart later made a statement confirming the reports, apologised for her “momentary indiscretion” and described Pattinson as “the person I love and respect the most”. The British actor is said to have since put the LA home they shared up for sale and discussed moving back to London.
Stewart’s appearance on the TIFF red carpet marked her first public outing since reports of the affair surfaced. She admitted that she was nervous at the prospect of facing the press, but was glad she decided to go through with it.
“To be honest, I was just kind of telling myself, like, just don’t back out,” she said. “Be there, don’t just figuratively put your head down and barrel through it. Be there, appreciate it.
“Luckily, very, very much I was able to do that.”
Stewart and Pattinson will be reunited on screen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which is due to be released on November 12.
