Kristen Stewart has so far avoided being publicly questioned over her affair with Rupert Sanders, but the actress came dangerously close to defending her actions as she spoke about the love triangle at the centre of the ‘Twilight Saga’ between Bella, Edward and Jacob as she claimed it’s not “too difficult” to understand being in love with two people.
The actress is currently promoting the final vampire movie, ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2’ in Japan and claimed, as a woman, she would never “discredit feelings” when she had them.
Speaking at a fan event at Shinkjuku Piccadilly the actress said, according to HollywoodLife: “As a woman I think it’s really important not to discredit feelings. There weren’t too many difficulties with the whole love triangle thing,”
“I mean, she needs Jacob in her life. He needs her in the same way.”
Moving passed the movie, Kristen believes forgetting what others think, is the key to having “what you want”.She explained: “If you can get pass conventions and what everyone else is thinking then you can have what you want. They get to a point where they get to have everything and that’s nice.”
Clearly though it’s not always worth it, to get what you want. Kristen was caught kissing married director Rupert Sanders, who she worked with on Snow White and The Huntsman, in July this year when she was in a relationship with Robert Pattinson.
At the time the actress referred to the affair as a “momentary indiscretion” and apologised to Rob in a grovelling public statement.
She told People magazine: “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.
“This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Lucky for Kristen though, Rob is the forgiving type, the couple reportedly reconcilled last month.
