Kristen Stewart On Dating: ‘I Would Never Cheapen Relationships By Talking About Them’

We all know Kristen Stewart is a Serious Actress, the kind that would focus all of her time and energy on her film roles and never do anything else. But with a big role in a big film like “Twilight,” and then with that role catapulting her into the worldwide hysteria that encompasses sparkly vampires, things got really different for her really fast.

It’s hard to have been following the “Twilight” phenomenon and not have heard an awkward interview with Kristen or see one of many shots of her looking pissed off at the camera, and she addresses both in the new issue of Elle magazine.

“People say that I’m miserable all the time. It’s not that I’m miserable, it’s just that somebody’s yelling at me,” she said of walking down the red carpet. “I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying. … It’s a physical reaction to the energy that’s thrown at you.”As far as rumors that her alleged “bad attitude” comes from taking her good luck for granted, Kristen really goes get pissed off. “I hate it when they say I don’t give a sh–, because nobody cares more than I do,” she said. “I’m telling you, I don’t know anybody who does this that gives a sh– more than I do.”

In addition to discussing the stalkerish tendencies of paparazzi (“They’re like thugs”) and how people will find out where she is staying at a hotel or eating at a restaurant and come up to her (“I can’t be by myself, and I like being by myself”), Kristen also sort of addressed the relationship rumors swirling about her and co-star Robert Pattinson.

“I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them,” she said. “People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, No they won’t! They’ll ask for specifics.”

How do you feel about Kristen Stewart’s comments? Did you ever think she was miserable all the time and took advantage of the success she got from “Twilight”?
